Avro Arrow Comic Takes Flight with Daniel Wong & Spent Pencils
Mississauga Comics Artist Daniel Wong, a local fan-favourite, unveiled today one of his latest projects, the 1st ISSUE of a HERITAGE MISSISSAUGA COMIC BOOK!......
The easy to maneuver comic book, titled 'Grange Volume 1: Legend of the Arrow', is meant as a child-friendly introduction to a sometimes sadly left out page of our Canadian History, that of the Avro Arrow, itself a real-life heroic achievement in worldwide aviation....
Joined by Cover Artist Vince Sunico & Writer/Letterer/Colourist incognito-person Madd Sketch, all of Spent Pencils fame, Daniel et al are looking forward to sharing it with you at an exclusive, yet open to the public, upcoming meet & greet which is sure to be a media-frenzied activity due to everyone [...including many dignitaries..] being in the shadow of a multi-tonned 'flightless friend'.....
The comic will be launched at a special ceremony with the help of none other than the loooong-time Mayor of Mississauga Hazel McCallion on Saturday September 28th at 9am at the International Centre [Airport Road/Derry] during 'Doors Open Mississauga', though it'll run to 4pm for those especially fond of weekend rest.....

Survivor of 3+ X-MEN MOVIES, Hugh Jackson once again dons the darker toned wardrobe of James Howlett, better known as....THE WOLVERINE! The second feature film to spotlight the hairiest non-blue member of the X-team, this one will mostly be focused on his time in JAPAN, which harkens back to ol' Wolvie's 1st few comics, a try-out mini-series of 4 back in 1982....
Still thought, thousands of Logan [W] tales later, to be one of THE GREATEST STORIES EVER for the character [...if not THE BEST..], long time 'X'-writer CHRIS CLAREMONT [...see him & Stan in back-2-back 'X-Men 3: The Last Stand' cameos...] worked with Legendary [Daredevil, Sin City, 300] writer/artist FRANK MILLER to craft a sly homage to JAPANESE HISTORICAL CULTURE, which by then was welcomedly seeping into North America.
