DARK KNIGHT RISES looming large in Image Collections 2012 Batman Movie Event at the 5 Drive-In Theater

Yes Virginia, THIS STORY may well be ONE OF THE MOST REWARDING ARTICLES YOU READ THIS YEAR, for many reasons [...especially if you live in Southern Ontario, and are a COMICS FAN...], with a few of them BATMAN, specifically THE DARK KNIGHT RISES related!!!.... ;o)

As we've stated before, Image Collections has been busy putting together some VERY special SPECIAL EVENTS this year for those who LOVE COMICS!...

That ever expanding group includes people like YOU who read about them (...well, aren't you doing just THAT right this instant?... :o), those talented, imaginative, and...**sniff**....somewhat underLOVEd persons who CREATE THE COMICS WE READ [...like those we and you support in our 'Image Collections Art Group' [see our website]], and the jolly-good folk who REGULARLY READ COMICS in whatever form they wish....

Be patient reading this, and YOU TOO WILL LEARN about the NEXT BIG 'BATTY' EVENT we are bringing you...

First, try to enjoy some of the just slightly annoying overly-wordy, over-written, and seemingly painful-to-read, yet STILL under-stated, under-hyped, and under-appreciated bits of educationally motivated information which, over time, you've come to expect from that peculiar COMICS & CARDS SHOP in Streetsville, Mississauga [near Toronto]

More than at any point in history, North Americans are newly discovering something most of the rest of the world has known for many decades, that is, in the right combinations [...and there IS NO hard, set-in-stone actual ratio for it...], the mixtures of ARTISTRIES, WORDS, COLOURS, and 'inkingly' precise SPECIAL EFFECTS can result in some SPECTACULAR EMOTIONALLY-INTELLIGENT EXPERIENCES for those exposed to it....

Yes, that's right, though too few have, [...and fewer still will admit to it...] it IS POSSIBLE to have your emotions jarred to the point of tears while reading 'PICTURESQUE GRAPHICS'....sometimes over the fates of favourite characters, others over storytelling subjects which push the boundaries of human experience, both in fiction and in fact [non-fiction]... 

'SEQUENTIAL ART' has long been an important part of humanity, from the confoundedly baffling cave drawings right up to the equally confoundedly baffling instructions for your new wide-screen televison, 'SCRIBBLES', in a particular line structure are a very useful tool to spread messages and usually have actually been VERY helpful to us when having to explain complexities and break them into digestable bits of info...

    For example, the BATMAN LOGO, in almost any of the many versions made famous over the years, is recognized throughout the world, regardless of whether or not the English word "Batman" is used.  Similarily with SPIDER-MAN, and, among others, there is no need to understand the letter before 'T' and after 'R' to know the triangularly enclosed RED 'S' can "MAKE YOU BELIEVE A MAN CAN FLY"....

As an almost borderless medium, COMICS successfully have been writtten to SPREAD THE WORLD'S CULTURE easily and effectively thoughout the continents, and in places like JAPAN, HONG KONG, BELGIUM, FRANCE, The UK, and even parts of Africa and South Africa, generations of people have been brought up surrounded by genres of seriously examined, critically praised, and sometimes shockingly relevant PROOF THAT COMICS WORK.... 

Sure, in North America, we like our own BRANDS OF HEROICS, especially in COMICS, where super-stories have iconically elevated some interestingly attired characters into modern mythology and, with almost a century of tales told, many of them have accended to the status of LEGENDARY READS, such as WATCHMEN, MARVELS, BATMAN:THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS, MARVELS, BATMAN: YEAR ONE, ASTRO CITY, IDENTITY CRISIS, DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN, X-MEN: The Dark Pheonix Saga, and many more....

Other non-traditional titles of HALL-OF-FAME deserving mentions are MAUS [...a deconstructions of WW II...], SANDMAN [...a masterful telling of our inner selve's questions...], FABLES [...exiled characters finding their way back to their stories...], BLANKETS [...a romance seen through religion...], PERSEPOLIS [..a Middle-Eastern exploration of human nature...], and relatively faithful adaptions of the WIZARD OF OZ & JANE AUSTEN Novels    

 So far this year, you've been a part of our movie presentations of MARVEL's AVENGERS and THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

...and with arguably the most anticipated film to hit the screen in years, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, we are looking to keep that streak alive with another night full of excitement to rival what is expected when the movie lights go on [..."lights go on"??....remember the theater we're associated with? ;o]...

It is now official.....

Not only are we teaming-up with the largest outdoor screen to see a movie on in ALL OF CANADA, to bring you the soon-to-be-smash latest installment of the caped-crusader's quest to make the great [director] Christopher Nolan a true Superhero, but looky here:......
